Carbon Market Development
LACP is actively building Zambia's domestic carbon market — connecting local project developers to voluntary carbon markets, Smart Finance, and international climate buyers.
Our Mission
Lukaph Agro-Carbon Prospero Ltd (LACP) integrates clean energy solutions — such as Induction eCookstoves, Water Purifiers, Solar Lighting, and LED Lighting — to generate verified carbon credits that contribute to Zambia’s Net-Zero climate goals and deliver globally recognised environmental benefits.
Guided by the Green Economy and Climate Change Act 2024 policy framework, LACP serves MSMEs and low-income households directly — improving health, generating income, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and establishing a credible, transparent carbon market in Zambia.
Our Vision
A Zambia where clean energy technology and carbon finance work together — empowering MSMEs and low-income households to earn from sustainability while contributing measurably to the country's National Determined Contribution (NDC) climate goals.
We envision LACP as a nationally recognised carbon market pioneer — demonstrating through Business Innovation and Research that Zambia can lead Africa in IoT-integrated, AI-enhanced, community-driven carbon offset solutions that attract global Smart Finance.
How We Work
Integrity First
We will not compromise on the scientific and ethical standards that underpin credible carbon credits. Every tonne we claim is defensible, documented, and independently verifiable.
Community Primacy
Communities are the heart of every initiative. We create projects that not only advance Zambia’s climate goals but also deliver meaningful social and economic value where it matters most — within the communities themselves.
Transparency
We operate with open books. Our methodology, our data, our governance structures, and our financials are available for scrutiny by partners, communities, and regulators.
Long-Term Thinking
Carbon offsets take time. Our structures — contractual, financial, and relational — are built to match the timescale of the projects we do.
Regulatory Alignment
Lukaph Agro-Carbon Prospero's policy framework emphasises adherence to the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment guidelines as stipulated in the Green Economy and Climate Change Act 2024.
Transparency & Eligibility: LACP maintains clear eligibility criteria for carbon offsets, ensuring transparency and avoidance of double counting across all project activities.
Rural Community Focus: Business innovations and research are targeted at rural communities, integrating artificial intelligence and climate change solutions for maximum local impact.
MRV Compliance: Lukaph Agro-Carbon Prospero has established procedures for carbon trading monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) requirements that directly support Zambia's National Determined Contribution (NDC) for climate action goals.
Carbon Market Trade: Lukaph Agro-Carbon Prospero's framework is structured to support the establishment and development of a functional, credible voluntary carbon market in Zambia, aligned with international best practice.
